This was a test image, un-calibrated and un-guided, from the new QHY163M deep sky camera. This M 43 was only  4min 39sec total exposure - 17-12-19

This M 43 image is actually just a crop from an M 42 picture. With my large DSLR sensor, it is quite a small proportion of the overall sensor size. I'll need to spend some time imaging this to get the quality high enough for a good crop.
